1 I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what he will say to me, and what answer I am to give to this complaint. The Lord’s Answer 2 Then the Lord replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald[b] may run with it. 3 For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay. - Habakkuk 2:1-3
The word of God encourages us that our revelation will come at the appointed time and that we should wait for it. A lot of times, we as human beings become impatient and even though the word of God reminds us that though it linger, we should just wait for it because it will not delay.
As Christians, we should stand at our watch and station ourselves ready to hear what the Lord says to us. We sometimes find ourselves missing what the Lord has for us because we were not standing at our watch and waiting. We are so busy with our day to day issues that we miss the answer that God has for us even though the Lord wants to speak to us. We miss the mark.
Lastly, the Lord reminds us to write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets. There is power in writing down any revelation from the Lord. This shows full faith and believe in what the Lord is speaking. When we as Christians receive a revelation from God, we sometimes doubt and think that it is not the Lord so we don’t write it down. It may also be because of fear of what others will say about the revelation that prevents us from writing it down plainly. However, the Lord encourages us to write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets. This way, we will be exercising our faith anf trust in the Lord
