7 Because the Sovereign Lord helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore have I set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame. 8 He who vindicates me is near. Who then will bring charges against me? Let us face each other! Who is my accuser? Let him confront me! 9 It is the Sovereign Lord who helps me. Who will condemn me? They will all wear out like a garment; the moths will eat them up. – Isaiah 50:7-9
There are times in our lives we have felt like fighting back when we feel a sense of injustice. We often get too worked up about a situation and want to “take matters into our own hands”. This is a normal human reaction. However, the Lord’s prescription to our problems is to leave the battles to Him. As much as we may feel like someone has wronged us, we are to sit back and let the Lord fight the battle for us.
There are several times when we have been accused falsely of different things be it at our places of work, in our families, or elsewhere. These are the perfect situations to have faith in God and let Him fight the battle for us because He is our helper in such situations.
We will wear out if we try to fight the battle but our enemies will wear out if God fights the battle for us!
